An audiovisual installation exploring perception, attention, and the unstable boundary between inner and outer worlds.

Obscura is a Place I Once Knew unfolds as a two-part journey through an imagined landscape that feels at once familiar and inaccessible—a place remembered but never fully grasped. Through minimal visual transformation, immersive sound, and extended duration, the work invites viewers into a contemplative space where certainty dissolves and perception itself becomes the subject.

The chapter titles Grey Matter and Dark Matter evoke both psychological and cosmic territories. Moving from drifting charcoal forms to absolute darkness, the installation traces a gradual passage through states of seeing, sensing, and imagining. Rather than presenting a narrative, it creates conditions for reflection, asking viewers to inhabit a space between recognition and ambiguity, presence and absence, observation and projection.
